What types of courses are on offer?
There is a broad range of courses on offer to include the following categories: Computers & Technology, Languages, Cookery, Business & Career Building, Arts & Home Craft, Health & Beauty, Hobbies and Leisure, Personal Development
Where can I get a full listing of courses that are on offer this term?
A full listing is available online at www.ocarolancollege.ie or www.meathvec.ie. Click on Adult Education to get a full listing of courses. You can enrol and pay online using a laser or credit card. Brochures will be available in September in the school and from Co. Meath VEC Head office, Abbey Road, Navan Library and local retail outlets.
Where will be classes be held?
Classes will take place in O'Carolan College, Nobber. See directions and map by clicking here.
How can I enrol?
1. You can can enrol by paying by laser/credit card.
2. You can send in a postal enrolment form with a cheque/postal order/bank Draft. The postal enrolment form is on the back of the brochure or a downloadable version is available by clicking here.
3. If you prefer to pay by cash you can come along to our Enrolment Night in O'Carolan College.
4. All enrolment fees must be paid in full before classes commence.
Once I enrol will I hear from the College again?
No, so please come along on first night as scheduled.
Exception: As classes are all self-financing, a minimum number of 12 is required for classes to be confirmed. In the event of a class being (cancelled due to inadequate numbers) you will be contacted by the Adult Education Dept. However, once enrolled assume your class is going ahead and come along on the scheduled first night, unless you hear from us.

Is there anyone I can contact if I have any specific queries/issues relating to the Night Class Programme?
What is the minimum age for entry on a Night Class?
All applicants must be 16 years or older.
Do Adult Education classes run during Mid-Term break and Easter/Christmas Holidays? No
Are there any extra materials charges?
Some classes do carry materials charges ie. Craft classes e.g Art, DIY Home Maintenance, Flower Arranging etc. This fee is usually payable to the Tutor on the first night of class and is advertised with the Course listings on the website and on the brochure.
Is there any assistance available with paying fees?
Most adult education courses operate on a self-financing basis and we do all in our power to keep our fees as affordable as possible. It is your responsibility to pay for your fees in full before class start; however the following supports may be worth considering:
Financial Support from Development Agencies and Charities - In some instances, students have received assistance in paying their fees from SPIDAS funding, Co. Meath VEC, Navan Travellers Workshop, FAS, Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. If you are unemployed or in receipt of Social Welfare Payments it may be worth contacting some/all of the agencies listed above.

Students with Disabilities?
If you have disability, you should inform O'Carolan College of your disability when you register. Every effort will be made to assist you. Designated parking and toilet facilities are available. O'Carolan College is a single storey building.
Does O'Carolan College have a Refund Policy?
- When a course is under-subscribed & does not run, O'Carolan College offers a 100% refund of fees.
- Fees are non refundable once you have enrolled.
